Greg Hitchcock and The Trade Featured on the “Stories From The Field” podcast
Stories From the Field
Executive Director of Enrollment Greg Hitchcock recently appeared on the “Stories From the Field” podcast, a long-running podcast that features personal interviews with clinicians, program founders, researchers, and individuals with lived experience. Each episode offers honest, nuanced conversations about the power—and complexity—of using nature as a vehicle for mental health and healing.
Greg has spent more than 25 years serving the mental health community in a variety of senior roles, including founder, executive director, chief marketing officer, and owner. He has experience in the education, behavioral health, mental health, and addiction treatment industries. Greg has founded and directed many successful programs that have taken him from the tent to the boardroom.
Greg shares how the Trade helps participants learn by doing and earn while growing through hands-on training in the trades, including forestry, woodworking, construction, automotive, hospitality, and more. Apprentices live together in a supportive, therapeutic-style community, earning wages from day one while building life skills, confidence, and independence through real work in the outdoors.
