Lodging and Location
Apprentices work on property referred to as The Mountain, which is an ever-evolving, 1,800-acre ecosystem of entities aligned under one mission:
Provide outdoor recreation and wellness opportunities that directly improve the lives of our guests and community.
The Mountain shares a border with the White Mountain National Forest and includes a multi-use recreational trail system with 2,050’ summit, high-end hospitality business, outdoor recreation basecamp, and a fully equipped mechanic shop that services the extensive fleet of machinery required for our operation.
Located in rural Pike, NH, these pristine acres at the western boundary of the White Mountain National Forest have long been a setting for family and community sustenance.
John and Joan Wolter purchased the land in 1976 from a local family of dairy farmers for use as an idyllic space in which to carry out their pioneering experiential education vision. We work tirelessly today to maintain and strengthen this legacy of service and education.
